Biggest Morning Tea

So what else does an author do?
Why he gathers with the accummulated throng (collective noun suggestions please) of authors and illustrators and publishing folk and partakes of the BIGGEST Morning Tea. Publisher of my title in the Nature Storybook series, Walker Books hosted a Morning Tea last Friday (they even have their own fundraising page) raising funds for the Cancer Council.

As the Morning Tea website says …
May is Morning Tea time. So tea up your friends and workmates and help tip the balance in the fight against cancer. It’s easy, it’s fun and together you’ll be making a difference, because every cup counts. Register now to host a morning tea this May. By registering online, you can create an online fundraising page and start fundraising today.

Was a lovely gathering and a lovely mornng tea with lovely people like these two – Libby and Wayne

And then it was back to the desk to put the finishing touches to the e:lit Teachers’ Notes which are very nearly done!!!

  1. Inventing or deriving collective nouns is something of a hobby with me (my favourite so far is a ‘petulance of teenagers’) I just have to comment here!

Perhaps an audience, or an accolade or even a paragraph of authors?
