I was absolutely thrilled to receive an invitation to attend the ceremony for this year’s graduation class from the high school in Hong Kong named after my grandfather – the Cheng Chek Chee Secondary School. Unfortunately, this year, we can’t get there. I did though suggest to the Principal, Shui Ying Lee, that the school consider awarding a prize to a student from me. Her response:
Thank you for your offer of awarding a prize to our student.
Your idea of awarding the books to student who shows greatest writing promise is fantastic.
So today I will be dropping in to the post two of my books (signed and chopped) to the student – of course I do know the student’s name but I am not going to reveal it here – at least not just yet!
