A few quick snaps from tonight’s e:lit workshop Exploring the CBCA shortlist up at Warrimoo Public School – with their wonderful librarian Jenny Foster and the 30 folks in attendance. We explored the books, the activites in previous shortlist booklets, looked at a few grabs from the National Curriculum, and the relevance of literature, themes in the shortlisted titles, talked about book trailers and podcasts and blogs and the 21st century way of ye ol’ book review. The folks also came up with some ideas of their own for treatments with the books. jolly good fun and the time just whizzed by. I do so enjoy doing these teacher workshops – nearly as much as workshops with the kids. Always amazed by teachers who spend their after school hours listening to me!
