ipswich kids lit festival – Day 3

And so another day is done in Ipswich.
What fun this is – I just love chatting about my book, the writing processes that I go through and how I create my books. It is such a buzz chatting about it all BUT the biggest thrill is when a spark is lit for one of the kids listening. One of the kids chimed in today with “I want to be a kids author too” – and she was absolutely beaming with joy and enthusiasm. We had talked about the writing process, the possibilities for ideas and just what happens when one lets creativity flow.

Tripped out to West Moreton Anglican College for a session with year 2 – I hope the blog photo turned out well and that you all had fun! and then two sessions back in Woodlands with the kids from Fernvale and Blenham. They asked great questions and were fun! It was great back in the Mansion today because when I was reading Sounds Spooky I could add a few new pieces from last night’s tour about the ghosts of the Mansion – and especially the room we were in!

AND this is an early night …. no playing on the snooker table, no chin wagging into the late hours. Dinner is done (I eat way too much at these gatherings), telephone calls are made and now i will just add a few snaps from today and then to bed.

the post dinner run down for the following day
