Webinar with SCBWI Carolinas

Greeting to all the folks from SCBWI Carolinas (and further afield) who joined me for the webinar yesterday. Thanks for being super patient too while we got the connection worked out! Teresa and I had practiced it a few times already and it went off without a hitch but as for the real thing! Argh! I had a lovely time chit chatting with you all, although I must say that it is awfully strange talking to myself – well at least to my computer screen – for an hour! But the joys of this form of presentation … well I didn’t have to get dressed in my presentation finery! Thankfully the expected delivery (a box of Water books) didn’t arrive until just after we had finished – it might have been a little difficult signing for the package at my front door and talking to you all at the same time. Whew!

I did mention too that I would send a photo of me in action so thanks to the wonders of self-timer photography I can send you this snap …  it was really snapped while I was chit chatting to you all. And as I mentioned, my office can be pretty chaotic as you can see from the photo! Thanks too to the folks who have joined my blog and social networking links.

Hope that the information on international kids book festivals and international publishing was interesting and you were able to snaffle a few titbits of information. I look forward to seeing some of you at the Asian Festival of Children’s Content or Bologna soon!

Lastly thanks Teresa Fannin (superfantabulous Regional Advisor Carolinas) for putting the event together.
