Australia Day

Right now – it’s a little crazy as I am getting ready for Australia Day and my trip to the wonderful crew at Palerang Council. Thanks Debby for organising me there and for the NSW Australia Day Crew who have slotted me in. I am presenting a few certificates and doing meets and greets and right now I am writing a few words for my ‘short’ talk … although how can they expect me to stick to just 15 minutes. I was interviewed for the Chinese paper the EpochTimes on Monday about being an ambassador and I talked for 90 minutes!

This year I am home in OZ for Australia Day. Normally, at this time of year, I am in New York for the SCBWI Winter Conference but because of the Super Bowl being held soon in New York  (I hope it thaws out a bit for them) our conference is a few weeks later. And when we haven’t been in New York Bini and I have often been on the harbour watching the celebrations, or checking out the vintage cars, but this year I am an Ambassador. Here is me on the Australia Day site.

It’s already hit the council website Council article, and also into one of the local newspapers so roll on Australia Day!
