Conference Part 2

What? It is over? Surely not … but yes it is. The conference just quizzed by so fast and already it is time for me to head back home. More highlights included the amazing portfolio display where the illustrators are able to showcase their amazing artworks; and the mega autograph party which sells more kids books than any other bookstore in the USA over the conference time. This has been another hugely successful Summer Conference and here are a few more pictures to show what happened; and dropping in to the penthouse quite to see the promotion for the crowd funding for the movie Crank by my amazing friend Ellen Hopkins.

And the Golden Kite Luncheon where I announced on stage the winner of BiG and eat lunch too!

And Tomie’s Birthday party celebration where we sang and cancer in his honour with a glorious rendition of It’s Amore.

Of course for me it is also about catching up with friends like the super Dan Santat, illustrator/author extradinaire – who I only ever see over here in the USA. Glorious! And of course the conference wrap party:

Do check out the conference blog for all the happenings this past weekend.

43rd Conference done and dusted.
